Разработка урока английского языка по теме « English Proverbs» в 8 классе.

Цели: 1.Показать языковые навыки и умения, закрепить пройденный материал.

         2. Формировать творческое и критическое мышление учащихся

Оборудование: интерактивная доска.

                      План урока:

I.Warm-up.

-Dear friends! Our lesson is devoted to English proverbs. Proverbs are the wisdom of the people whether they are English, French or Russian. You know that most of the proverbs in different languages are quite similar, they express the same ideas. Proverbs teach us about life, they explain how to choose friends, what is right or wrong in people’s behavior. I believe you know a lot of proverbs but I’d like to refresh some of them in your memory.

Pupils read the proverbs and  give their Russian and  English equivalents.

II. Listening. « The Fox Without a Tail.»

  -I’d like you to listen to a short story. You should find the proverb which makes good ending to it.

                   Business before pleasure.

                   Tastes differ.

                   Never say die.

III. Work in groups. Make a short story using the proverbs.

                   All is well that ends well.

                   Business before pleasure.

IV. Broken proverbs.

Match the beginning in list A with their ending in list B.

V. Find the best ending for this story. ( Presentation.)

VI. Fill in the gaps. Write words on the blackboard.

VII. Work in pairs. Make a dialogue or situation using one of the proverbs.

VIII. Guess the proverb. Find adj.-synonyms in part A  and verbs- antonyms in part B. Put the letters of your variant in the boxes.

IX. Total.
